The table was set with the best linen and china, gilded wine glasses and a beautiful vintage from a long gone planet chilling and it was perfect. Candles burned around the room, the view was chilling and yet picturesque, and the scent in the air was crisp and warm, like apples and vanilla without anything such of a clear scent.

The man himself was wearing an elegant jacket in crimson silk with midnight trousers. The jacket was closed two embroidered buttons at the top, and when he moved the rest revealed that they were the only buttons done. Pacing the room, he stared through the window and considered all that had changed and what he might do to gain things back.
