Up is hard, Down is easy - Jupiter Ascending threads

Caine's own choice would have been nearly anywhere but Chicago. Certainly it was large enough to hide in, and he found he blended in somewhat - minus the ears, the boots, and what lay beneath his coat. He was trying.

Yet his choice had no say in it. Her Majesty wished to be here, and so here he was.

While she spent her day working - and he was still trying to wrap his mind around WHY when she owned the planet, he came to one conclusion during it all. Arguing with her wasn't worth it. Staring silently at least meant that she didn't give him that look.

So he spent time exploring the city, the Earth culture that she was now protecting from harvest. Mostly he was working hard to avoid causing a scene. Again.

(Just about anything Jupiter Ascending. Premovie. Post. I also have Jupiter and Titus, untested but willing to toy with them. Caine just tends to be a loud pup in my head.)

Visiting the place of contention - Open

Earth. Her mother's favored holding. The future sight of the largest harvest ever. Also the cause of such much pain and loss in her family. Briefly held by Balem, and now her mother's once more. Well, Jupiter's. The same thing in many ways and not even close to being the same.

One day though, unless she accepted the Regen-X lifestyle, Jupiter would be gone and without a will, Earth would once more go to Balem. Kalique knew the answer was to continue where she had begun. In trying to show Jupiter just why Kalique was so close to Seraphi. Which meant doing her best to assimilate herself into Jupiter's life. There was just one problem with it.

She couldn't figure out why Earth was all that to her family.

It was polluted, it was crowded, and not enough appreciate both her beauty and her fashion sense. Oh what Earth could do with a bit of flash and elegance, but sadly it was so... drab.

Yet, she tried hard to keep her chin up and a smile on her face, exploring many a city and what she might find.

It had taken her a while to get used to her new status and some parts of it still were a lot to get used to. But she'd asked for some time and space to decide what she wanted to do with her holdings now that Balem's stranglehold on the industry had crumbled.

However, with that time, came the other two siblings. She'd dodged Titus once and she'd wondered how long it would take Kalique to come and see her.

"Not exactly as pretty as your place, is it?"

"No, it isn't even close," she said, shaking her head. "The shopping hasn't been too horrible though," she added, trying to sound cheerful and delighted in her visit. "Though I would remind you there is a reason that you kept this as a prized holding but didn't live here," she noted, giving Jupiter a pointed look.

"Not mentioning certain... liaisons, you do realize that your holdings include more than this and allows you to live any way you want." She held up a hand as if to stop any possible argument. "I don't mean a place such as myself and the others live in but more than... this."

She was trying to help, in her own very entitled way.
