Isaac had been ... well. Marking their territory. They didn't know this new place, and there were plenty of supplies but there didn't seem to be anything resembling a town right outside their front door anymore. So every day, Isaac went a little further out into the woods and marked where he was with a stake.

Today was looking hopeful - he found an arrow sticking out of a tree, and a target set up. Which meant someone was out here, a neighbor or something. He just hit the lawn of their backyard, Shere Khan tagging at his heels, when he saw Vex coming out of the back door.

He beamed up at the other man. "Guess what? I found someone's target practice stuff -- there's people. Somewhere."
