"It matters to me," she said, staring directly at him. "You had to have known when you came to the hospital," she added, letting him know she knew. "I was there, some of it. I could hear and see some things. I couldn't move though. Not until a few months ago."
She paused just a few steps above him, showing the first hint of real emotion she had since she woke up that wasn't anger and pain. And she was trying hard to hide it.
"And what? You just volunteered to come here? Hoping to find Derek or Peter?" She sounded almost hurt, and hating it showed in her tones.
"They're..." She paused, hating to lie to him but then she shook her head. "The truth is in who is asking me. Argent the hunter, or Chris the man that gave me my first true, real kiss. Tell me who's asking."
